Mild and warm aromas are spiced and comforting, with notes of cardamom, green tea, and overripe pineapple. A gentle sweetness comes through as it opens up in the glass. 


What starts off soft and pillowy in the mouth turns to green chili spice, creating a dynamic evolution within each sip. Crystal clean flavors are reminiscent of spring water and tender green pea shoots, with a whisper heavy cream on the finish. There is a delicacy and subtlety to the layers of flavor, making this mezcal irresistibly engaging to sip.


Made from a mix of wild harvested and cultivated agave, notable, the cultivated agaves are consistently larger than the wild ones. Tosba has nurseries of this beloved variety to replenish the wild supply and ensure a balanced approach to making this mezcal. Agaves are cooked in an in-ground pit using river rocks and driftwood. Agaves are crushed using a tahona and open air fermented with local spring water and wild yeasts in wooden tanks. After fermentation it is double distilled in small copper pot stills. As part of the overall sustainable practice and respect for the Earth, this expression is limited and seasonal.
