Founded by Ivan Sáldaña Montelobos reflects his background as a biologist. He’s very keen on sustainability initiatives and has based the brand solely on cultivated agaves in order to halt the depletion of wild agave in Mexico.
He works closely with all his mezcaleros and has focused on gaining organic certification wherever necessary. In addition to its espadin expression from Oaxaca, it also has expressions from Puebla. The brand is now part of the Campari portfolio.
