Background
Tequila Ocho launched in 2008 as a partnership by renowned distiller Carlos Camarena and international tequila ambassador Tomas Estes. The brand was terroir-focused from the start, and was the first to bottle spirits made from agaves that came from hyper-specific plots of land, along with identifying information on the labels. The brand is known for tiny batches that come from single plots of estate-grown agave and aged expressions that prioritize the agave flavor over barrel influence. A tequila brand made by and for agave nerds–their limited edition bottlings are unique and sell out fast.
