The Opuntia comes at you with a lively fruit bouquet with nips of peach, grape, and cherry just like an eu de vie. It’s like a warm summer day at the orchard in a glass.
The flavor is a fantastic expression of the fruit, it’s flavorful without being overly sweet or cloying. It reminds me most of a Croatian rakija, not afraid of being powerful but restrained as well. Those nice fruit notes get a bit more acidic and – perhaps this is purely associative – prickly at the end.
