Raicilla
Raicilla production is limited to specific regions in western Jalisco and is generally classified as from the mountains (la sierra) or coast (la costa.) It is made similarly to mezcal, though the stills are usually made from tree trunks.

Raicilla is the name given to agave spirits produced in the western part of Jalisco. Recently, there has been the creation of a Denominacion de Origen for the category but it is not recognized internationally.
