Jose Guardado started Mil Lumbres working with his cousin Gilberto Roldan before expanding to a proprietary vinata and local production team in 2024. The vision for the brand is for the presentation to match the quality of what’s inside, and features artisanally hand made ceramic bottles sourced from Guanajuato. The Mil Lumbres Lamparillo comes from a region that is more lush than the well known lamparillo from the desert-like climate of Mapimi, and has distinct flavors, making this one of the most terroir-driven expressions.
